Great place to get delicious food and great service . One of the best wings in one of the oldest restaurants in Connecticut.
Way cool place. Lots of great beers, food, and yummies. Very polite and nice servers that didn't mind explaining the specialty dishes and giving us great recommendations. My wife and I are very happy and had a great time.
Been coming here for close to twenty years now. Huge selection of beers. We prefer being seated in the older, tavern side of the place. Staff is attentive without being annoying. We prefer the (pastrami) Reuben sandwich. Nice, toasted rye, plenty of Swiss cheese, and a heap of pastrami. Noticeably little sauerkraut, though, and the dressing is served on the side. We'd sure like to see them pile on more sauerkraut, but that won't keep us away.
First time this evening and really out of the way but the pics looked great and to my surprise everything was so good! Our waitress Carly was so good with us. She was so busy and made sure we were happy. As for the food, the Mushroom was my favorite. I hope you will make it again. The Jalapeno poppers were also incredible!!!! For dinnerwe had the Pot roast and I had the Sirloin tips. Both were amazing. Between the history of the place, the great food and our great waitress, we will be back!!!
Wings are amazing as always. Been going here since I was in my 20s. I'm now 44. Great atmosphere and our bartender was Ann who I amazing as well. Thank you for the great lunch
The Bidwell has great food and a wonderful old historic atmosphere. The old tavern is decorated with century old photos of Coventry and heated with a charming wood stove in the winter. We always bring folks here when they visit Coventry for the first time. The Bidwell is located in the heart of historic Coventry Village. While there, be sure to visit some of our great antique shops or head over to Patriots Park to watch the sun set over Patriots Park.
Great location, great food, and great atmosphere! We think our waitress was less experienced, but she got an A for effort. We will definitely return.
Always great food, excellent ambiance, and great beer. We sat outside today and it was so relaxing in the sun. If you're there in the winter sit on the bar side and enjoy the wood stove. Wings are so tasty with many choices to choose from. Today I had the bacon burger. It was done to perfection with a lot of flavor. The flatbreads are very good too.
Go for the wings and beer but also have a burger! Love the old world charm. Hope you get the happy bartenders (one lady needs to smile bad and be nice) and enjoy your relaxed environment. Always busy so be patient.
During a family weekend we decided to come here. It seems like a lot of people had the same idea as the place was packed. We had a 25 minute wait and once we were seated, the staff was excellent and gave suggestions on the menu. The ticket time was great for the place to be so busy. The food was great and it's on my list to come back for more menu items. Overall, a great dining experience!
